Welcome to the Country Village Pub, located on the picturesque village green. Steeped in history, this charming establishment dates back to the late 14th to 15th century. Our inviting lounge bar features low wooden beams and leads into a cosy, intimate restaurant. The traditional public bar, reminiscent of the turn of the last century, offers darts, various bar games, and a selection of daily newspapers.
We warmly welcome dogs, providing them with a water bowl and a jar of biscuits, ensuring they're as comfortable as our human guests. Families are also at the heart of our pub, and we pride ourselves on being incredibly kid-friendly.
Our doors are open all day, offering a variety of delicious, home-cooked meals served throughout the pub and in our lovely outdoor spaces. Enjoy your meal in the charming patio garden or relax on the front deck, shaded by a large umbrella.
Sarah Bloomfield, the proud owner, has been at the helm for 34 years—first with King & Barnes. Many of our staff have been with us for years, and some have even been with us since the beginning, making us a truly family-friendly and experienced team.
